Cookies on this site

A short note on what we set in your browser, and what we do not.

The short version

We do not run advertising trackers, third-party analytics, social-media pixels, or any other behavioural tracking on this site. The only cookies we set are the small ones our own site needs in order to remember whether you have dismissed the cookie banner. If you have not seen the banner, the site has set nothing on your device.

What a cookie is, briefly

A cookie is a small piece of text the website asks your browser to store, so that the next time you load a page it can read that text back and remember something about your previous visit. Browsers offer settings to allow, block, or delete cookies — usually under a "Privacy" or "Site settings" menu.

What this site sets

At the time of writing, the site sets one cookie of its own — a preference flag recording whether you have dismissed the cookie banner. It contains no personal information, expires after a year, and is read only by this site.

Embedded third-party content (a map view on the contact page, for example) can sometimes set cookies of its own when it loads. We try to keep embedded third-party content to the minimum needed, and to use privacy-respecting alternatives where they exist.

If our position changes

If we add anything that requires consent under UK PECR — analytics, advertising, or anything else that would track your behaviour across sessions — we will update the cookie banner so that nothing of that kind loads until you have actively agreed. We will also update this notice.

Managing cookies in your browser

The major browsers all let you view, block, and delete the cookies set by individual sites. The exact steps vary, but they are usually documented under the browser's own privacy or site-settings help pages. Blocking the banner-preference cookie above will make the cookie banner appear on every visit; everything else on the site will work normally.
